ICT welcomed a delegation from Taiwan on Friday June 7th, led by Tseng-Pin Chiang, Chief Secretary, Central Taiwan Science Park Bureau (CTSPU), National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) and coordinated by Professor Chia-Yuan Chen, Director of the Science and Technology Division of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles (TECO-LA).
Among the esteemed delegates was former ICT postdoctoral researcher (2009 – 2011) Dr. Wan-Chun Alex Ma, who now works as an Applied AI Research Scientist at Meta.
During their visit, delegates participated in ICT research demonstrations within several of our labs including Mixed Reality (MxR), Integrated Virtual Humans, Geospatial Terrain, plus a tour of our Academy Award-winning Light Stage in the Vision & Graphics Lab (VGL).
