Jonathan Gratch Named AAAI Fellow

The Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AIII) has elected Jonathan Gratch to its Fellows Program, in recognition of his sustained contributions to the field of artificial intelligence.
Gratch is the director of virtual humans research at ICT and a research professor in the department of computer science at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering.
His research focuses on virtual humans and computational models of emotion. He studies the relationship between cognition and emotion, the cognitive processes underlying emotional responses, and the influence of emotion on decision-making and physical behavior.
Gratch,and the other 2014 fellows, will be honored at a dinner as part of AAAI-14 in Quebec, Canada in late July.
