Pete Carroll, coach of the USC football team, took a break from football practice to experience a different kind of training here at ICT. Coach Carroll was accompanied by USC’s executive vice president and provost, C. L. Max Nikias.Provost Max Nikias, who organized the visit, and USC athletic director Michael Garrett. The trio learned about several ICT technologies and applications including virtual reality therapy for treating PTSD, the Light Stage scanning systems for creating realistic digital characters and our use of film and storytelling to address ethics and leadership. The “good sports” also interacted with ICT’s virtual humans and tried on our latest virtual reality headgear.
