An article in the Economist Magazine highlighted the facial rendering system developed by Paul Debevec and colleagues. The process, used to create digital faces in such films as “Spider-Man 2,” produces results so realistic that individual wrinkles can be clearly seen, the story reported. “There’s a new genre rising here,” Debevec said. “This technology will probably be used to bring actors back to the screen who have long since died.”
