Pacific Standard covered research by Gale Lucas and colleagues from the = ICT Virtual Humans group finding that people are more likely to disclose personal health information to a virtual human than to an actual human health professional. The “more honest responding comes from the sense that no one is observing or judging,” Lucas said.
The study was published in the August issue of Computers in Behavior.
