Dr. Randall Hill, Vice Dean, Viterbi School of Engineering, Omar B. Milligan Professor in Computer Science (Games and Interactive Media), Executive Director, ICT, announced that Lila Brooks has been promoted to Chief Business and Financial Officer, ICT.
“Lila will make a stellar Chief Business and Financial Officer of ICT,” said Dr. Randall Hill. “She has been with USC for almost 25 years, rising steadily through the ranks, and will now join ICT’s Leadership Team to head ICT’s financial operations, overseeing pre-award, post-award, and HR. We are proud to promote from within to reward excellence, and Lila has proven herself deserving of this promotion.”
Brooks will serve as the Chief Business and Finance Officer at the USC Institute for Creative Technologies (ICT), where she provides strategic direction, leadership, and management across all business services, including finance and accounting, research administration, human resources, and business information systems. With over two decades of experience, Brooks is an accomplished leader in business and research administration, recognized for her expertise in navigating the complexities of research-related operations.
Brooks’ career at ICT began in 1999 as one of the Institute’s first employees. Over the years, she played a pivotal role in building and shaping the business office, while leveraging her experience to enhance the processes required to manage a complex research organization. Her extensive experience also includes staff management and ensuring research and fiscal compliance, making her a key figure in ICT’s growth and success.
As the Chief Business and Finance Officer, Brooks will continue to be a driving force in support of the Institute’s mission.
