Paul Debevec, ICT’s associate director for graphics research, was one of the featured presenters at the first-ever TEDx event. The TED conference began 25 years ago a to bring together some of the world’s greatest thinkers. USC recently piloted the TEDx program – a new program of independently organized events TED is rolling out to select organizations around the world. Debevec spoke to the audience of over 1000 people about his work in creating photoreal digital characters. In addition, event attendees experienced live demonstrations of ICT’s Sgt. Star interactive virtual human and virtual therapies for aiding PTSD and motor rehabilitation at the conference reception.
