ICT Summer Interns 2025

ICT has just released a new video highlighting interviews and reflections from our 2025 summer interns. The piece was directed, filmed, and edited by Kevin Watley (Watley Designer Media).

Each summer, the USC Institute for Creative Technologies welcomes a new group of students eager to explore advanced research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, immersive media, and human–machine interaction. Since 2005, ICT has hosted nearly 700 interns, including 106 students from Minority-Serving Institutions and 154 Cadets from the United States Military Academy at West Point.

The 2025 cohort brought together nearly 30 interns from universities across the United States and abroad. Students joined ICT through multiple sponsoring programs—including the ICT Internship Program, the DoD Summer Research Internship Program for HBCU/MI institutions, West Point’s AIAD program, USC ROTC Air Force Cadets, the IUSSTF-Viterbi Program, and USC President’s HighTech Scholars.

Throughout the summer, interns were embedded across ICT’s research labs, contributing directly to work in virtual humans, training and simulation, conversational AI, and health technology. Their projects reflected the breadth of talent and curiosity that drives innovation across the Institute.
