The USC Institute for Creative Technologies, a Department of Defense University Affiliated Research Center (UARC), was honored to welcome IGA Delphine Dufourd-Moretti, Director of System of Systems Division, Direction Générale de L’Armement (DGA), as head of the French delegation, visiting the United States to participate in the Annual Meeting of the Data Exchange Agreement (DEA) 1188 titled “Training Devices & Simulation Technology” between France and the United States. The meeting was hosted at the ICT to leverage the UARC’s expertise in the application of emerging technologies to a wide range of research challenges that both nations are discussing under the DEA.
During their time at ICT, the delegation received briefings and demonstrations on novel modeling and simulation, game technology applications, 3D geospatial terrain, and advanced computing graphics from our researchers, including David Nelson, Director, Mixed Reality (MxR) Lab; Dr. Yajie Zhao, Director, Vision and Graphics Lab; Ed Fast, Computer Scientist; Dr. Andrew Feng, Associate Director, Geospatial Terrain Research; and, Dava Casoni, Chief Compliance Officer and Executive Producer (Force Writers Room).
