American Psychological Association Honors Outstanding Work of ICT’s Skip Rizzo and Collaborators

Skip Rizzo, ICT’s associate director for medical virtual reality, received the 2010 Award for Outstanding Contributions in Trauma Psychology from the American Psychological Association’s Division 56, psychology’s focal point for research, practice and education on trauma. This award recognizes distinguished contributions to psychological practice and was also given to Rizzo’s collaborators Barbara Rothbaum, JoAnne Difede and Greg M. Reger for the group’s research, practice and testing in developing and evaluating virtual reality exposure therapy to treat post-traumatic stress.
The awards ceremony takes place Friday, August 13, at the APA Convention in San Diego.
