Anton Leuski is a research assistant professor at the USC Department of Computer Science and a research scientist at the USC Institute for Creative Techonologies.

He received his Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. His research interests include interactive information access, human-computer interaction, and machine learning.

Leuski’s recent work has focused on applying statistical information retrieval approaches to dialogue text analysis, natural language understanding and generation. Of primary interest is the development of the statistical approaches for building effective text classification techniques with small amounts of training data.

These text classification approaches allow very rapid development of practical solutions for natural language dialogue applications.
