May 24, 2012 | Chicago, IL

Speaker: Angela Nazarian
Host: Association for Psychological Science

This randomized study manipulated temperature prime (hot or cold) and accent of a female speaker (American English or Indian English). Results found that Indians rated the Indian speaker as warmer only if they were in the hot prime condition. The effects of accent and culture on person perception are discussed.
