Research Lead: Mohammad Soleymani

The Intelligent Human Perception (IHP) Lab, led by Prof. Mohammad Soleymani, focuses on understanding and tracking human behaviors, social signals, and emotions. Their research involves multimodal machine learning to analyze and generate nonverbal behaviors and emotions. Their current research includes socially assistive technologies for mental health, facial expression analysis and nonverbal behavior generation. IHP-Lab’s research regularly appears in leading conferences and journals in the field. They have also been actively developing open-source research software for multimodal behavior assessment (OpenSense) and facial expression analysis (LibreFace).
