Body Computing & Human Performance

Research Lead: Leslie Saxon, MD

The Body Computing & Human Performance Lab is a digital health research and innovation center designed to reimagine everyday health, wellness and human performance resources for service members and society by leveraging data analytics and clinical research.

The lab brings together human performance experts, digital and life sciences executives, sensor and mobile app creators, strategists, designers, and visionaries from healthcare, government, entertainment and technology to test and develop solutions for improving the safety and efficacy of these emerging technologies produced to improve health and human performance.

“CBC’s expanded research portfolio and activities address the needs of our military. This has resulted in $12-million dollars of Department of Defense-funded research that spans four military bases and has enrolled hundreds of active-duty military service members across our forces. We are discovering how to preserve service members, in real time, using specially designed cutting-edge software, sensors, data and experiences that allow participants to understand and prevent the first injury.”
