US Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Workshops

The US Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Workshops project develops workshops and presentations to introduce Army trainers to immersive instructional technologies, such as highly realistic, interactive games and video-based scenarios. Through these workshops, trainers investigate how such games and scenarios could be incorporated into distance learning and other technology-based courseware. As trainers consider new technologies, they are also introduced to effective distance learning methods and techniques, evolving education principles such as Guided Experiential Learning, self-regulated learning challenges, and methods for evaluating the effectiveness of technology-based learning. After completing TRADOC workshops, Army trainers have additional tools and information for improving their current instructional programs for soldiers.
