Full Spectrum Leader
Full Spectrum Leader (FSL) extends the Full Spectrum suite of applications to the Light Infantry Platoon level with a cognitive leadership trainer. Like Full Spectrum Command 1.5, FSL includes both the Fort Benning and Silvy Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) sites with players facing asymmetric enemies.FSL showcases a computer opponent with an adaptive intelligence. Unlike most simulations which have a fixed (albeit concealed) OPFOR plan, FSL's opponent attempts to recognize players' actions and respond dynamically. Additionally, FSL includes Close Air Support, Artillery Calls-for-Fire and Casualty Evacuation to heighten the realism and training value. FSL is the first Full Spectrum application to include a "hasty defense" mission. It is anticipated that, in addition to the US Army's Infantry Center at Fort Benning and the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), FSL will be used at the US Army Field Artillery School at Fort Sill to train young officers. The final US Army version and SAF version of the FSL executable and source code was delivered to the US Army on May 25, 2005.
