Abhijeet Ghosh
Computer Scientist, Sr.
Abhijeet Ghosh is currently a senior researcher in the Graphics Lab of the USC Institute for Creative Technologies and a research assistant professor of computer science in the USC Viterbi School of Engneering. He received his Ph.D. in computer science from the University of British Columbia in 2007. His main research interests are in the area of realistic rendering. He is also interested in computational photography, Monte Carlo methods and machine learning techniques for graphics and vision. His doctoral work on BRDF acquisition with basis illumination was a recipient of the IEEE Marr Prize Honorable Mention at ICCV 2007, and his doctoral dissertation titled Realistic Materials and Illumination Environments was a recipient of the 2007 Alain Fournier Award for the best computer graphics dissertation from a Canadian university.
