Richard DiNinni joined ICT in March 2001. In leading the institute’s Army outreach efforts, his role includes oversight of technical workshops, military conference participation, and a series of TRADOC sponsored projects that support the U.S. Army’s civilian trainers. He has also served as a coordinator for several film-based projects and recently helped launch a project that supports the Army’s training and recruiting experiments within the virtual world platforms Second Life and Active Worlds.

Prior to ICT, he was Director of Programming for GiveMeTalk.com, a San Francisco-based company that was an entertainment industry leader in delivering rich media content online. Richard previously served as manager at Buena Vista Television, the television arm of Walt Disney Studios. Based in Burbank, California, he supported the production and licensing activities of shows such as Home Improvement, Sports Night, Ellen, and Felicity.

Richard’s career in television began at the local television level in New York, at WSYT in Syracuse, and Connecticut, where he produced and directed Sports Talk with Mark Brown. Richard also spent time as an independent writer-producer, including work as an associate producer on the award-winning Atlanta This Hour, the Canadian Broadcast Company’s live hourly broadcast from the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.

Before his entry into television, Richard ran operations and public relations at the Nutmeg State Games, Connecticut’s state-sanctioned sports festival for amateur athletes.

Richard has undergraduate degrees in Communications and Political Science, and a graduate degree in Communications from Syracuse University.
