Mark Core
Computer Scientist
Dr. Mark Core is an ICT research scientist who specializes in artificial intelligence for education. His research interests include modeling effective teaching and tutoring strategies and studying peer learning. Core is working on building reusable language and tutoring tools and is currently specializing in the areas of negotiation, cultural awareness, leadership and lifelong learning. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Rochester in 2000 under the direction of Dr. Lenhart Schubert and was a research fellow at the University of Edinburgh working with Dr. Johanna Moore until joining ICT in 2004.
