Military Counter-IED Trainer (MCIT)
Project Description
The goal of the Mobile Counter-Improvised Explosive Device Interactive Trainer (MCIT) is to deliver training that improves the ability of U.S. forces to recognize an emplaced IED under a variety of complex attack scenarios. This includes understanding the basic components of an IED and the function of each component as well as the most common initiating systems. Part of the learning experience includes a multiplayer “game” that allows students to assume the roles of both coalition forces and insurgents.
Job Description
The intern will be expected to support ICT staff develop visually compelling textures and models that help illustrate real world environments, vehicles, and characters. Candidates must be proficient with Photoshop and Maya, and must submit a portfolio of their work along with their application. Experience with Z-Brush and Mudbox is preferred. Experience modding for game engines, particularly Operation Flashpoint and/or Armed Assault, is highly valued.
Skills Required/Preferred:
• Expert-level knowledge of and proficiency with Maya and Photoshop
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
