Project Description

The VRPSYCH Lab is looking for an intern that is interested in examining issues related to the structure and acquisition of psycho physiological performance in military relevant virtual environments and extending current theory on neurocognitive performance within virtual environments. These psycho physiological responses will be developed from experience within a virtual Iraqi city. We will also have opportunities for intern to look at psycho physiological performance of persons interacting with a virtual human patient.


Job Description

Performance measurement and training using low and/or high fidelity simulation technologies. Assessment of psycho phsysiological indices. (EEG, HR, BP, respiration, SCR, etc). Machine learning algorithms using Matlab, Statistica, etc for intelligent feedback system. Lua scripting (Maya).

Skills
o Interest in taking part in experimental set-up conducive to synchronous measurement of virtual reality performance using multiple systems (e.g., ASL, Biopac, Simulator).
o Experience using Matlab and Biopac’s MP150 system would be useful.
