Project Description
ELECT UrbanSim is a PC-based, story-driven, virtual training application created to better prepare leaders for exercising command in a complex operational environment, including representative behaviors and cultural effects. While some training applications model the human terrain to some extent, none has focused on this to the degree that ELECT UrbanSim does.
Job Description
The intern will help create video clips that feature animations and narration that will be used in an instructional package. The instructional package teaches US Army officers the fundamentals of Counterinsurgency and Full-Spectrum Operations. No prior knowledge in Counterinsurgency or related material is necessary, but the ability to work on one’s own to create visually stimulating content is a must. Also a must, knowledge of create video clips that tie in pictures and animations with instructional content.
Skills Required/Preferred:
• Knowledge of and proficiency with Final Cut Studio Pro, Flash, and Photoshop and/or Adobe Illustrator
• Experience making graphics and animations for videos that include sound mixing
• Experience with creating instructional content not a must, but a plus
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
