Cultural Awareness

Cultural Awareness

At ICT we specialize in tact, not just tactics.

Most simulation-based training systems focus on doctrine, strategies and procedures. What sets ICT apart is our emphasis on human relationships, culture and emotions.

Knowing what to say and do and interpreting the actions of others is an increasingly necessary tool for developing critical thinking and decision-making skills in our global world.

Through our innovations in graphics and artificial intelligence cultural identity is reflected in the ways our characters look and act.

In collaboration with entertainment industry storytellers and game designers we populate our virtual worlds with characters who represent people one might meet in the real world and create scenes and scenarios that highlight the need to be culturally aware.

We specialize in computational approaches to exploring and explaining social relationships as well as modeling how culture affects a character's perceptions, beliefs, decisions and actions.

Our programs help trainees prepare and be aware of cultural differences and how important they are to understanding the context of a given situation.

Skills we consider valuable for leaders and lay people alike.
