Project Description
The research project seeks to detect and classify various human states (e.g., affect) in real-time. The team will run an experiment where participants perform a gesturing dual-task while wearing multiple sensors, such as EKG and EEG. We will explore existing and develop new machine learning algorithms that integrate sensor data from multiple sources and operate at multiple timescales to best model human states.

Job Description
The research assistant will help run the study, pre- process, and analyze time series data, and possibly contribute to a publication and presentation of the work at a scientific conference or journal venue.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience programming in Matlab
  • Experience programming in Python
  • Experience with time series data
  • Experience with wearable sensors, such as EEG
  • Experience with Unity is a plus
  • Experience and/or interest in machine learning is a plus
